30 November 1967 - The Tipton Conservative

Last rites for Otis Edward Wagaman, 74, Moscow, were held Nov. 25 at the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. E. H. Lauer in charge. Burial was in the Shawver cemetery at Cedar Bluff.

Pallbearers were Orin Tharp, Kermit and Morris Smith, Donald Hansen, Lyle Birkhofer and Robert White. George Thordsen was vocalist and Laura Geller was organist. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Ericksen and Mrs. Donald Hansen were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Wagaman died Nov. 22 in Muscatine General hospital following a short illness.

The son of William and Lanetta Williams Wagaman, he was born Sept. 19, 1893 at Cedar Bluff and was educated in the rural schools of Cedar county.

He was married to Margaret Hines in Tipton Feb. 22, 1917. He farmed for many years and had been a resident of the rural Moscow area for 24 years.

He was a member of the Tipton Moose lodge.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Ruth) Jennings, Tipton; 4 sons, James, Stoughton, Wis.; Richard, Wilton Junction; William, Cedar Rapids and Myron, Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Charles, Lisbon; 2 sisters, Mrs. Vera Kellerhals and Mrs. Ruby Kellerhals, Tipton; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons and 2 brothers.
