Funeral services for William Cameron, 89, Downey, were held Oct. 14 at West Liberty with the Rev. Charles McCracken officiating. Burial was in the Downey cemetery.

Mr. Cameron died Oct. 11 at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, following surgery.

He was born Sept. 14, 1878 at Stanwood, the son of the late Alex and Ellen Safely Cameron.

Cameron married Dorothy A. Holloway on Feb. 23, 1908. She died in 1913. He later married Edith E. Cornwall in 1927. She preceded him in death in 1958.

Cameron was cashier of the Downey Savings bank from 1905 to 1934, former president of the Lincoln Mutual Insurance Co. of Lone Tree, 50-year member of the West Branch Masonic lodge and a member of the Presbyterian church.

Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Freda C. Berry of New York, N.Y. and 2 nephews.
