Services for Mrs. Drew (Emily Cordelle) Almond, 36, were held Oct. 11 at West Branch with burial in the West Branch cemetery. Services were also held at Minden, La. Oct. 9.

Mrs. Almond died Oct. 7 at a hospital in Beaumont, Texas of complications following surgery.

She was born Feb. 16, 1931 at West Liberty and married Drew Almond.

Surviving are: her husband, Drew; mother, Mrs. Dorothy Hemingway Meek of Vale, S.D.; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Hemingway of West Branch.
