Don McLaughlin, Mechanicsville, died suddenly Oct. 4 in a Chicago hospital. He had undergone surgery Sept. 29.

Mr. McLaughlin, a veteran of World War I and II lived in Chicago most of his life before he and his wife, the former Eloise Helm, came to Mechanicsville 5 years ago to make their home. Services were held in Chicago Oct. 7.
