Last rites for Edward Pendergast, 64, Davenport, former Cedar county resident, were held Sept. 20 in Davenport with burial in Davenport Memorial cemetery. Mr. Pendergast died sept. 18 at Davenport following an extended illness.

Born in Tipton in 1928, he married Marie Kofron in Cedar Rapids. He was employed at Alcoa until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Robert, Davenport; 2 daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Betty) Wilkerson, Phoenix, Ariz. and Mrs. Dean (Mary Jo) Johnson, St. Louis, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Laura Fell, West Branch and Mrs. Elizabeth Underwood, San Antonio, Texas and a brother, Tom, Pottersville, Mo.
