September 28, 1967 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Mrs. John Baguss, 72, were held Sept. 27 at the Trinity Lutheran church with the Rev. Roy Wingate officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were 8 grandsons: Gerald Lee, Charles and Gerald Baguss, John and James Frey and Harold Kotesky. Craig Kruse was organist and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ehresman were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Baguss died Sept. 25 at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a lingering illness.

Juliana Josef Falk was born June 13, 1895 in Brazil, South America and was married to John Baguss in Denmark Sept.8, 1919. She had been a resident of Tipton for 30 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.

She is survived by her husband, 3 sons, Chris O., Muir, Mich.; John Jr., Grand Rapids, Mich. and Gerhardt, Tipton; 2 daughters, Mrs. Victor (Metha) Adams, Davenport and Mrs. Albert (Eva) Stauffer, Hastings, Neb.; 25 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and a sister.
