Funeral services for Mrs. Gus (Anna) Schepers, 81, were held Monday at the Peace United Church of Christ in Bennett. Rev. Robert Ahrendt conducted the services, and burial was in the Inland cemetery.

Pallbearers were Richard Conrad, Norman Rekemeyer, Raldo Reidesel, Richard Griebel, Homer Rahn and Donald Motz. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Riedesel Jr. were vocalists. Mrs. Virgil Barclay, Esther Dolge, Mrs. Homer Rahn and Mrs. Martin Juchter were in charge of flowers.

Anna Louise Kleppe was born August 15, 1886 near Wilton Junction to William and Katherine (Peters) Kleppe and was educated in rural Cedar county schools. She married August Schepers at Bennett December 23, 1914, and had resided in Bennett since then. She died August 17 at her home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Schepers was a member of the Peace United Church of Christ, Bennett, and of the Ladies Guild of that church.

Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Vallie (Antonietta) Zahner, Bennett; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Adam Kleppe of Bennett and several nieces and nephews.
