Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Reynolds, 48, Downey, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Downey Baptist church, Downey. Graveside services are pending at the Brethren cemetery near South English. The Powell Funeral home, Wellman, is in charge. The casket will be open before the service.

Mrs. Reynolds died unexpectedly July 24 in an ambulance on the way to an Iowa City hospital. She had lived in Downey for 12 years.

Funeral services for Gladys M. Reynolds, 49, Downey, were held at the Downey Baptist church July 28 with graveside services in the Brethren cemetery at South English.

Mrs. Reynolds died in an ambulance while on her way to an Iowa City hospital from her home in Downey July 24.

Mrs. Reynolds was born July 5, 1918 at South English, the daughter of George and Nona Read. She attended school at South English. She was married to William E. Reynolds in 1944.

She had been a resident of Downey for 12 years and was a member of the missionary circle of the Baptist church and the Grange.

She is survived by her former husband, Tipton; 2 daughters, Mrs. Robert Morgan, Kansas City, Kan. and Mrs. Ronald Seering, Davenport; 4 sons, William, with the navy in Vietnam, Kenneth, Iowa City, and Ronnie Lee and Lonnie, Downey; 3 step-children, Loren, with the air force in Vietnam, Donald, Coralville and Merton with the air force in England; 5 grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Nona Reade, South English and a sister, Mrs. Gayle Yoder, Longmont, Colo.
