Last rites for Mrs. Herbert Ovesen, 48, Wilton Junction, were held July 18 at Zion Lutheran church, with the Rev. Paul Mueller officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery, Wilton Junction.

Mrs. Ovesen died July 15 at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, following a long illness.

Ruth Ann Moravek was born in Durant, March 26, 1919, the daughter of Edward V. and Anna Grau Moravek, Sr., Durant. On May 18, 1946, she married Herbert W. Ovesen in Wilton Junction. Mrs. Ovesen was a former resident of Durant and resided in Wilton Junction for 21 years.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran church and the Ladies Aid and Fellowship League of the Zion Lutheran church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Kristine) Foor, Muscatine and Phyllis Ovesen, at home; one brother, Edward V. Moravek, Davenport; her parents and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one brother in infancy and one sister, Mrs. Lois VanKorff.
