Last rites for Forrest Birk Willer, 73, were held June 5 at First Methodist church, Tipton, with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery, with American Legion ceremonies at the graveside.

Pallbearers were Walter, Harold and Mearl Eiler, William Butterbordt, Dale Miller and Paul Wright. Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Burmeister and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Friday were in charge of flowers. Dan F. Petrucelli was vocalist.

Mr. Willer died following a heart attack at his home near Tipton June 2.

The son of Peter and Mary Birk Willer, he was born near Tipton Aug. 7, 1893. He graduated from Tipton high school.

He was married to Ella Augusta Eilers Feb. 2, 1921. A lifelong farmer and resident of the Tipton area, he was associated with his son in farming at the time of his death.

He was a member of First Methodist church, Manitou Lodge, I.O.O.F. and Garey-Whalen Post #123 of the American Legion.

He served in the army during World War I.

He is survived by a son, Forrest E. and a daughter, Mrs. Wesley (Donna) Marquett, both of Tipton, 5 grandchildren and 2 sisters, Mrs. Edith Willer Eilers and Mrs. Rollie Wright, both of Tipton.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother.
