Funeral services for James Wesley Herr, 15, Wilton Junction, were held at the United Presbyterian church in Wilton Junction June 26, with burial at Oakdale cemetery.
James was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Herr. Surviving are his parents, brothers, Robert, Wilton Junction, and Daniel, at home; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Grunder, and grandmother, Mrs. Carrie Ford, all of Wilton Junction.
He was fatally injured June 23 in a bicycle-car collision on U. S. 6, 2 miles east of Wilton Junction.
The Iowa Highway Patrol reported Herr apparently swerved his bicycle into the path of a passing car driven by Gary Emeil Rahlf, 22, Davenport.
The car left skid marks on the paving for 160 feet, the patrol said. Both vehicle were westbound.
Authorities said no charge would be filed against Rahlf in reference to the accident.
