March 16, 1967 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosie Williams, 80, mother of Mrs. Fedale McIntosh, Tipton, were held March 15 at Muscatine with the Rev. Fred Boyce officiating. Burial was in Inland cemetery, Bennett.

Mrs. Williams died at Muscatine General hospital March 12, after a long illness. She had been a resident of Muscatine for 5 years.

She was born Sept. 30, 1886, at Cedar Valley, the daughter of John and Annie Smith.

She was married first to Henry Burhop. She later married Chester Williams. Both husband preceded her in death.

Mrs. Williams was a member of Zion Lutheran church.

She is survived by a son, Henry Burhop, Cedar Rapids; 7 daughters, Mrs. Marie McDuffie, Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Anna Baldwin, Davenport, Mrs. Helen Fisher, Iowa City, Mrs. Rosie Beh, Atalissa, Mrs. Evelyn McIntosh, Tipton, Mrs. Victoria Pratt, Muscatine and Mrs. Marguerite Knouse, Akley, Minn.; a brother, John Smith, Davenport; 2 sisters, Mrs. Christina Crees, West Liberty and Mrs. Helen Hartley, Cedar Rapids; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

In addition to both husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, several brothers and sisters, 2 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
