Funeral services for Clarence (Scott) Miller, 54, Bennett, cafe operator, will be held at Peace United Church of Christ at Bennett at 1:30 p.m. today, Jan. 19. The Rev. Robert Ahrendt will officiate. Burial will be at Inland cemetery, near Bennett.

Pallbearers are Wilbur Eggert, Phillip Hambright, John Hansen, Norman Rekemeyer, Lawrence Schlicting and Verle Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stuhr and Mrs. Ann Hensch are in charge of flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Riedesel Jr. are vocalists. The Sheets and Son funeral home is in charge.

Masonic services were conducted at 7:30 p.m. at the Tipton lodge Jan. 18 with William Shrope in charge. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

Mr. Miller died at his home in Bennett Jan. 16 following a heart attack.

The son of Henry Christian and Emelia Mueller Miller, he was born at Bennett Feb. 14, 1912 and spent his entire life in the Bennett area. He graduated from Bennett high school in 1931.

He was married to Martha Irene Motz at Bennett May 18, 1939.

He had operated the Midway cafe for approximately 20 years.

Mr. Miller was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Bennett and the Tipton Masonic lodge.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Robert, at home; 2 brothers, Howard (Stretch), Des Moines and Russell, Marengo. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
