12 January 1967 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Neal S. Reeve, 76, retired farmer, were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 9 at the First Methodist church with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Art Albaugh, Max Nebergall, James, Jack and Robert Reeve and Forest Fitch. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist. The Dye funeral home was in charge.

Mr. Reeve died at his home at 410 E. 10th street Jan. 5 following a brief illness.

The son of Edwin and Eldora Culver Reeve, he was born near Tipton Nov. 17, 1890 and was educated in the rural schools near Cedar county. He was married to Clara Ochiltree in October, 1915. She preceded him in death in October, 1933. He was married to Dorothy P. Belgard by the Rev. Gunneman Dec. 29, 1940 at the Evangelical and Reformed church.

He farmed in the Tipton area most of his life, moving to Tipton in 1957. He was a member of the Tipton Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Louis (Evelyn) Niles, Milaca, Minn. and Mrs. Keith (Carolyn) Wood, Tipton; a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Blanche) Owen, Tipton and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, 2 brothers, 2 half-sisters and 4 half-brothers.
