Funeral services for Edna C. Lyle, 85, were held Dec. 31 at the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. E. H. Lauer officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Charles Gibbons, Lester Gill, Ralph Wingert, Walter Kopsa, Harold Eiler and James Moore. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Aker were in charge of flowers. The Rev. and Mrs. Omar Pettersen were vocalists. Laura Geller was organist.

Miss Lyle, a lifelong resident of Tipton, died at her home in Tipton Dec. 28 following a lingering illness.

The daughter of William and Dora Finefield Lyle, she was born near Tipton Jan. 4, 1881 and graduated from Tipton high school and Coe college, Cedar Rapids.

She was a member of the First United Church of Christ.

She is survived by a sister, Vera, with whom she lived, in the family home in Tipton, and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother.
