Louis E. Gibson, 72, a lifelong resident of West Branch, was found dead at his home Nov. 12 after suffering a heart attack.

Services were held in West Branch Nov. 14 with the Rev. Roger Tappmeyer officiating. Burial was in West Branch cemetery.

He never married. Most of his life he was a carpenter. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Roy Chapek American Legion Post in Iowa City.

Surviving is a brother, William, a sister, Mrs. Norman (Maude) Rogers, both of West Branch; 4 nephews and a niece.
