Final rites for Mrs. Neil Boyle, 54, Bennett, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14 at Immaculate Conception church in Cedar Rapids with the Very Rev. Msgr. William Roach officiating. Burial was in Mt. Calvary cemetery at Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Boyle, wife of the superintendent of the Bennett Community school, died at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Everette Martinson of Marion at 1:30 p.m. June 11. Mrs. Boyle had been ill for several years.

Catherine Jane Collins was born Sept. 3, 1911 and lived in Cedar Rapids for many years. She was graduated from Immaculate Conception high school and Mt. Mercy college. Mrs. Boyle taught in the Sacred Heart elementary school of Cedar Rapids and the Sacred Heart elementary school of Waterloo.

She was married to Neil Boyle June 10, 1935 in Immaculate Conception church of Cedar Rapids. The Boyles observed their 31st wedding anniversary June 10.

The Boyle family came to Bennett in 1951. She had been living with her sister and brother-in-law since January.

In addition to her husband she is survived by 2 sons, Thomas and Timothy, at home and 3 daughters, Mrs. James (Nancy) Macy, Wheeling, Ill.; Mary Margaret Boyle, Cedar Rapids and Elizabeth Jane Boyle, Texarkana, Texas; a brother, Dennis Collins, Cedar Rapids, and 4 sisters, Mrs. Martinson, Marguerite Collins, Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Augusta Tallman, Marion and Mrs. Edward Bray, Chicago, Ill.

A "living memorial" is being established for Mrs. Boyle, who was an honorary member of the board of directors of the Cedar county chapter of the American Cancer society.
