November 18, 1965 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Wagner Sr., 69, were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home with the Rev. Dean Swartzendruber officiating. Burial was in the Rochester cemetery.

Pallbearers were Howard and Harry Yerington, Leonard Voss, Russell Chapman, Lloyd Meyer and Henry Harden. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Wagner and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bair were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Wagner died unexpectedly at her home in Buchanan Nov. 14.

Edith Pearl, the daughter of Webster and Nina Osborne Yerington, was born near Rochester July 7, 1896, and was educated in the rural Cedar county schools. She was married to Albert Wagner Sr. in Tipton Dec. 4, 1912. She was a member of the Cedar Bluff Union church.

The Wagners farmed in Cedar county most of their married lives, moving to Iowa City in 1951 and to Buchanan in 1954.

She is survived by her husband, 2 sons, Milton, Columbus, Ohio and Albert Jr., West Branch; 2 daughters, Mrs. David (Nina) Vanatta, Iowa City and Mrs. Maynard (Evelyn) McGreer, Columbia, Mo.; 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Earl and Charles Yerington, Muscatine; George Yerington, West Branch and Archie Yerington, Rochester; 4 sisters, Mrs. Sadie Murrows, Muscatine; Mrs. Ed (Katherine) Morton, Iowa City; Mrs. Lloyd (Ruth) White, Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Mearl (Nora) Sterner, Wilton Junction.

She was preceded in death by a sister, a brother and a grandson.
