Funeral services for Mrs. Malinda Kelding, 62, were held March 9 in Zion United Church of Christ, Lowden, with the Rev. Arthur Tinge officiating.

Pallbearers were Arthur Kruckenberg, Lawrence Kleppe, Leonard Reinking, Elmer Steinke, Carl Deichmann and Arnold Koch. Irma Strackbein was organist and accompanied Mrs. Floyd Hansen and Mrs. Walter Brendes, vocalists. Mrs. Lawrence Kleppe and Mrs. Herman Helmold had charge of flowers.

Burial was in the Lowden cemetery.

Mrs. Kelding died March 6 at University hospitals in Iowa City, where she was taken Feb. 26 after suffering a heart attack.

Malinda Fahling, daughter of William and Anna Boettcher Fahling was born near Clarence Sept., 16, 1902. She moved to Lowden with her parents when a young child and received her education in the Lowden school.

August 7, 1927 she was married to Julius Kelding. The made their home in Lowden. For the past 7 years she had been employed in the Ralph Becker home near Lowden. Mrs. Kelding was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Lowden.

Surviving are a son, Wayne, Tama; 7 grandchildren and a brother, Emil, also of Tama.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandchild.
