Frank Kysely, 77, a retired Cedar county farmer, died March19 in a Cedar Rapids hospital after a brief illness.

Services were March 22 in the West Branch Methodist church, with the Rev. Charles F. Haigh officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Kysely was born Feb. 27, 1888, the son of Frank and Annie Kysely. He was a lifelong West Branch resident. He was married March 15, 1909, in Marion to Christina Hartman, who died in 1958.

Survivors include a son, William, Palo; a sister, Mrs. Josephine Karlik, Mahnomen, Minn., several other brothers and sisters; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, 2 grandchildren and his wife.
