Mrs. Catherina Kuhlmann, 90, of Durant, died Feb. 23 at a Davenport Nursing home following an extended illness.

The former Catherina Lahrson was born Sept. 30, 1874, in Germany.

She married Heinrich Kuhlmann on Dec. 9, 1894, in Germany. She and her husband came to the United States in 1905 and engaged in farming north of Durant until 1943 when they retired and moved to Durant.

Survivors include a brother, Jurgen of Chicago, Ill., and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a daughter, and 3 sisters.

Funeral services were Feb. 26 at Durant. Burial was at the Blue Grass cemetery.
