Funeral services for George F. Blair, 82, will be held at the Tipton Methodist church at 1:30 p.m. today (Thursday) with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating.

Pallbearers are Arthur Baer, Herman Hass, Forest Argo, Donald Armstrong, Dean Handley and Fay Wagner. Mrs. Richard Palmer is vocalist and Mrs. Irma Crawford organist.

Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery with the Masonic lodge in charge of graveside services. The Dye funeral home is in charge.

Mr. Blair died suddenly at his home in Tipton Feb. 9.

The son of George and Mary E. Kessler Blair, he was born May 14, 1882 south of Bennett and was educated in the rural schools of Inland township. He was married to Ila Mae Hill at Waterloo Sept. 13, 1940. In addition to farming, he was an electrician and plumber.

The Blairs moved to Tipton in 1944.

Mr. Blair was a member of the Methodist church and the Tipton Masonic lodge.

He is survived by his wife, 4 children, Mrs. Eleanor Martin and Mrs. Grace M. Johnston, both of Bennett, Mrs. Virginia M. Heinze, Marengo and Eugene W. Potter, Royal Oak, Mich., 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
