Funeral services for Jesse Stout, 63, were held Jan. 2 at the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. E. H. Lauer officiating. Burial was in Woodbridge cemetery.

Pallbearers were Arnold Swan, Gale Maurer, Vernon Wagner, Chalmer Keller, Everett Miller and Paul Kellerhals. Mrs. Irma Crawford was vocalist and Mrs. Arnold Swan and Mrs. Gale Maurer were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Stout died suddenly at his home west of Buchanan Dec. 30.

The son of Jacob and Della Jane Wagaman Stout, he was born on the Stout homestead west of Buchanan where he spent most of his life. He attended Cass township rural school No. 6. He never married.

He was a lifelong farmer, farming the family homestead lands.

He is survived by 3 brothers, Fred, Ralph and Glen and 2 sisters, Sarah and Ethel Stout, all of Tipton, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.
