Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Goodale, 86, will be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

John E. and Harry Gerber, Edwin and John Sharpless, John Burroughs and Leonard Voss will be pallbearers. Mrs. Irma Crawford is organist and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Knouse and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Kiefer are in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Goodale died at Mercy hospital in Iowa City Dec. 22 after a lingering illness.

The daughter of James Edward and Priscilla Hubler Sattizahn, she was born near Mechanicsville July 19, 1878 and attended the rural Mechanicsville schools. She was married to Lester Goodale in Tipton April 18, 1902.

The Goodales lived most of their married life in the Tipton area.

She was a member of the First Methodist church of Tipton, the W.S.C.S. and the Mount Zion guild.

She is survived by a son, Gaylord, Tipton; 2 brothers, Roy Sattizahn, Rock Island, Ill. and James Sattizahn, Ocala, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son.
