Mrs. Walter (Christine) Miller, 71, a resident of Durant for 15 years, died Dec. 11 at the Wilton Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Services were held Dec. 14 in Durant. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Mrs. Miller was born Dec. 16, 1892, in Cedar county, the daughter of Jurgen and Helena Kahler. She married Walter Miller, May 1, 1926, in Iowa City. The couple farmed 6 miles northwest of Durant until 1949 when they retired and moved to Durant.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Duane (Ila Mae) Feuerbach of Wilton Junction; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Frieda) Anders of Okabena, Minn., and Mrs. Henry (Alma) Schneider, Denison; and 2 grandchildren.
