Last rites for Ira DeWitt Methven, 64, a native of Tipton, were held Dec. 15 at Cedar Rapids, with burial at Cedar Memorial cemetery. He died Dec. 13 at Cedar Rapids following a brief illness.

The son of Mrs. Bertha Methven, he was born in Tipton July 27, 1900 and had lived in Cedar Rapids for more than 40 years. He was married to the former Ruby Armstrong, who died in 1960.

He was a receiving clerk for Cedar Rapids Auto Supply and a member of the Westminister Presbyterian church in Cedar Rapids.

Mr. Methven is survived in addition to his mother, by 2 daughters, Mrs. Patricia Moloney and Mrs. R. L. Pike, both of Cedar Rapids.
