26 November 1964 - The Tipton Conservative

Floyd Edgar Nebergall, 79, of Tipton, died Nov. 19 at his home near Tipton following a brief illness.

Funeral services were held at the South Bethel church Nov. 21. Rev. G. W. McMichael of the St. Paul's church of Cedar Rapids officiated. Burial was in the South Bethel church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Orren Kiser, Richard Laucamp, Norman Ford Sr., Hilbert Whitmer, Donald Johnston and Gus Pasvogal. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Statler and Mr. and Mrs. Neil Glenney were flower attendants. Ushers were Maurice Martin, Leroy Shaull, Dwain Ford and Bill Fields.

The son of William and Anne Fulwider Nebergall, he was born on March 24, 1885 at Tipton.

He was educated in the Cedar county rural schools and spent his life as a farmer in the South Bethel community. He joined the South Bethel church under the pastorate of the Rev. W. N. Baker.

He married Ethel Naumon on June 10, 1908, at Tipton. A life resident of the Tipton area, he was a member of the South Bethel church.

He spent his early years in the parental home, now occupied by the Jack Reeve family. In 1914 he build the family home on the hilltop across the road, where he spent the rest of his life.

Survivors include his wife, 3 sons, Clare, Jay and Max, all of Tipton; 3 daughters, Mrs. Irwin Langley, Tipton, Mrs. C. R. Forrey of Broomfield, Colo., and Mrs. Jack Reeve, Tipton; one brother, C. A. Nebergall of Tipton; and 15 grandchildren.

A son, Harve, died April 29, 1959.
