Funeral services for Fred H. Gade, 47, a former resident of Lowden, were held in Denver, Colo. Nov. 13, with burial in the Fort Logan National cemetery. Gade died Nov. 11 in Presbyterian hospital in Denver.

The son of Fred and Florentine Strackbein Gade, he was born July 17, 1917 south of Lowden. He was educated in the rural schools and Lowden high school. He was in the armed forces in World War II for 5 years, including overseas service in France.

Mr. Gade moved from Cedar Rapids to Denver in 1961 where he was a mechanist for the Martin company.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Milota, Swisher; Mrs. Roger (Dorothy) Fox, Lowden, a brother, Hubert, Wheatland and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
