Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Morrison, 62, were held at the Sheets & Son Funeral home in Tipton Nov. 11. The Rev. George Gallaher of the Mechanicsville Presbyterian church officiated. Burial was in the North Prairie cemetery at West Liberty.

Pallbearers were Francis Mahoney, Charles Kofron, Raymond Wildasin, Wilbert Thoeming, Jim Beuter and Walt Fankhauser. Marsha Fick sang with Mrs. Irma Crawford as organist. Mrs. Charles Kofron and Mrs. Katherine Ralston were in charge of the flowers.

Mrs. Morrison died Nov. 7 at University hospitals in Iowa City, following a long illness.

The daughter of John and Grace Jones Tolin, she was born Oct. 5, 1902 in Jasper county, Ill. and was educated in the rural Sherburn, Minn. schools.

She was married to Neely Crees Morrison at West Liberty March 2, 1922. She spent most of her life in the West Liberty community, coming to Tipton about 5 years ago. She had been in the Utopia Nursing home for 2 years.

She is survived by 2 sons, Leland, Muscatine, and Melvin, Stanwood; 3 daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Maxine) Leggins, West Liberty; Mrs. Jack (Evelyn) Handley, Tipton, and Mrs. William (Kathryn) Cox, Milan, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. George (Fern) Sarver, West Liberty and 7 grandchidlren.
