Richard (Recky) Emmett Van Dusen, 11, was killed Oct. 17 in Paramount, Calif. He and 3 other boys were digging a cave or tunnel in a vacant lot and it caved in. Two of the boys were killed. He was born in Iowa City, Nov. 22, 1952.

Services were held Oct. 20. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Van Dusen, 2 sisters, Wilma and Pamela, both at home. Their address is 16618 Ozrabe Ave., Paramount, Calif.

The family formerly operated the telephone office in Rochester and were Cedar county residents. Mrs. Van Dusen is the former Esther Molitor. The family moved to California 4 years ago.
