Last rites for Robert Maxwell Ford, 66, were held Oct. 12 at the Dye Funeral home with the Rev. Virgil Freyermuth in charge. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Donald Marion, Henry Oldham, Ernest Wagner, Donald Armstrong Sr., Paul Sindt and Henry Ohlinger. Dawson Powers was an honorary pallbearer. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

Mr. Ford died in University hospitals at Iowa City Oct. 9. He had been a patient there since Sept. 29.

The son of Charles B. and Theada Maxwell Ford, he was married to Leora Marie Voss Oct. 3, 1934 in Tipton.

Mr. Ford spent his life in the Tipton area and was a painter for many years. He had been operating a gift shop in Tipton.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Robert M. Ford, Jr., Tipton, a step-son, Larry A. Youngs, West Branch, 2 brothers, Forrest H. Ford, Tipton and J. B. Ford, Missouri Valley and 5 grandchildren.
