Funeral services for Mrs. Albertine (Tena) Schulz, 78, Durant, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. E. H. Lauer officiating. Burial will be in the Durant cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dick Bend, Walter C. Henkel, Harlan Flenker, Rudy Riemers, Tom Fagan and Lorenz Ahrendsen. Mrs. Irma Crawford will be organist. Vocalist will be Mrs. G. C. Straub Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Henkel will be flower attendants.

Mrs. Schulz died unexpectedly Sunday morning at Mercy hospital in Davenport.

The daughter of Carl and Caroline Scharf Schaefer, she was born Jan. 9, 1886 in Durant and was educated in the rural schools in the Durant area.

She was married to Henry Schulz Feb. 11, 1920 in Davenport and the couple spent their married life in Cedar county. She moved to Tipton in 1946.

She is survived by a son, Alvin, Davenport; 3 daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Mae) Flenker, Davenport; Mrs. Chester (Ina) Hanks, Tipton and Mrs. Albert (Irma) Henkel, New Liberty; 2 brothers, Louis Schafer, Durant and William Schafer, Davenport; 2 sisters, Mrs. Caroline Waterman, Denver, Colo. and Mrs. Minnie Krebs of Wilton Junction, 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Raymond, a grandson and 4 sisters.
