Funeral services for Elmer F. Schlichting, 60, a native of Bennett, were Sept. 30 at Davenport. Mr. Schlichting died Sept. 28 at a Davenport hospital.

Born in Bennett, he married Florence Paulsen in Davenport in 1930. He farmed near Bennett until moving to Davenport in 1940. He had been employed by Chanez Cleaners in Davenport.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Glidden, Tulsa, Okla.; his mother, Mrs. Mathilda Schlichting, Bettendorf; a sister, Mrs. Ella Cubbage, Hale; a brother, Lawrence, Bennett and a granddaughter.
