Funeral services for Henry J. Reimers, 80, Durant, were held at 2 p.m. (D.S.T.) Wednesday, Sept. 30 at the Frick funeral home in Durant.

Mr. Reimers died Sunday night at the Wilton Nursing home after an extended illness.

The son of George and Wilhelmine Reimers, he was born March 7, 1884 in Davenport. He was married to Lena Hoffman Jan.8, 1908 in Moline, Ill. The couple lived on farms in Scott and Cedar county until the death of Mrs. Reimers in 1940. Since then he had lived with his son, August near Wilton Junction.

He is survived by 2 sons, August and Albert, Moline, Ill.; 2 daughters, Mrs. John (Mabel) Groenwold, Tipton, and Mrs. Ralph (Lena Mae) Eathon, Ark.; a sister, Mrs. Roy (Alvena) Schaver, Hampton, 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, 2 sisters and a brother.
