Mrs. Kenneth (Patricia Ann) Lathrop, 38, a life-time resident of West Branch, died Aug. 4 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City following an extended illness.

Funeral services were Aug. 6 at the West Branch Methodist church, with the Rev. Charles Haigh officiating. Burial will be in the West Branch cemetery.

She was born Jan. 27, 1926, at Iowa City, the daughter of Herbert and Helen Smith Albin. A 1943 graduate of West Branch high school, she was married to Kenneth Lathrop Aug. 7, 1950, at Elgin, Ill. Mrs. Lathrop was a member of the West Branch Methodist church.

Survivors include her husband; 3 sons, Jeffrey, Dennis and Michael, and one daughter, Cynthia, all at home; her mother, Mrs. Helen Jack of West Branch; and one brother, Joseph Albin of Buffalo, N.Y. Her father preceded her in death.
