Funeral services for Mrs. Louis Schluter, 81, who died July 2 in her home in Lowden, were July 4 at 10:30 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran church, Lowden, with the Rev. Theo Eickelberg officiating.

The male choir of the church sang, accompanied by Mrs. Lorenz Hoffmeier, organist. Casket bearers were Louis Stolte, Arnold Koch, William Mensing, Ezra Kruckenberg, Lornez Hoffmeier and Emil Hein. Mrs. Ferd Hein and Mrs. L. H. Stolte had charge of flowers.

Burial was in the Lowden cemetery.

The former Emma Klipp, daughter of the late William and Katherine Steinke Klipp, was born in Clinton county March 23, 1883. She received her education in Trinity Day school, Lowden, and was married Oct. 10, 1907, to Louis Schluter in Lowden. They farmed in the Lowden vicinity until 1935 when they retired and moved into Lowden, where Mr. Schluter died in 1940. Mrs. Schluter was a a lifelong member of Trinity church and Ladies Aid.

Surviving are four sons, Elmer and William of Lowden, and Edgar and Hugo of Clarence; a sister, Bertha Klipp, Cedar Rapids, and four grandchildren.

Her parents, husband, two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
