Funeral services for Mrs. Julius (Alma) Conrad, 69, were held June 17 in Zion United Church of Christ at Lowden with the Rev. Robert MacDanel officiating. Mrs. Ernest Riedesel was the organist and Ernest Riedesel, soloist. Burial was in the Lowden cemetery.

Casketbearers were Harland Butterbrodt, Robert, Edward and Elmer Conrad, Lorenz Deerberg and Merle Brendes. Mrs. Dale Wulf and Mrs. Dwight Dean had charge of the flowers.

Alma, daughter of Carl and Sophie Wiegemann Dehne, was born Sept. 24, 1894 at Lowden. She attended the rural school and Zion church school.

She was married to Julius Conrad Oct. 19, 1916. They farmed west of Lowden until 1953 when they retired and moved into their new home in Lowden. Mrs. Conrad was a lifelong member of Zion United Church of Christ and its Women's Fellowship.

She is survived by her husband, 2 sons, Allen and Myron, both of Lowden; a sister, Mrs. Otto (Frieda) Brendes, Lowden and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Verna, who died at 16, her parents, a sister and a brother.
