Funeral services for William Watson Bucher, 77, retired Tipton barber, were held June 23 at the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. E. H. Lauer in charge. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were D. O. Welty, H. W. Fields, J. S. Luikart, Vernon Lamp. James Walton and Gale Gisel. George Thordsen was vocalist and Mrs. Arnold Swan, organist. Mrs. Gertrude Neessen, Mrs. Edna White and Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Spencer were in charge of flowers.

The Rose Croix service of the Masonic lodge was held at the funeral home Monday night.

Mr. Bucher died at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids June 20 after a long illness.

William Watson Bucher, the son of Thomas and Rebecca Watson Bucher, was born Feb. 11, 1887 at Winthrop and graduated from Winthrop high school. He also attended Lenox college.

Mr. Bucher was married to Minnie Livingston at Farley June 15, 1910. They lived at Winthrop and Monticello before coming to Tipton. Mrs. Bucher died Jan. 30, 1930 at an Iowa City hospital.

Mr. Bucher was married to Louise Feddersen at Clinton Oct. 24, 1937.

Mr. was a barber most of his life and operated a shop in the Masonic building in Tipton until he retired. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and DeMolay consistory.

He is survived by his wife, Louise, a son, William Jr., Atlantic; a daughter Mrs. Dave (Peg) Cline, Tipton; 2 stepdaughters, Mrs. William (Rachel) Streib, Lawrence, Kans. and Mrs. Murner (Lois) Thor, Naperville, Ill. and 2 grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his first wife and a brother and sister.
