Funeral services for Mrs. Clark (Ella) Mowry, 74, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 27 at the Methodist church in Bennett with the Rev. Ray Block in charge. Burial will be in Inland cemetery at Bennett.

Pallbearers are 6 nephews, Chester, Harry, Howard and Harold Smith, Bernard Wight and Lester Mowry. Mrs. Ray Block and Mrs. Gene Weih are vocalists and Mrs. Don Weih is organist. Sharon Hein and Mr. and Mrs. Omer Wright will be in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Mowry died May 24 at Greenwood Acres Nursing home at Iowa City after a lingering illness.

The daughter of Daniel and Emma Kathryn Smith, she was born June 14, 1889 at Bennett and attended Bennett rural schools. She was married to Clark E. Mowry at the Methodist church in Bennett Feb. 16, 1910.

Mrs. Mowry was a resident of Bennett for 50 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Violet) Robbins, Bennett; a brother, Orville Smith, Muscatine and 2 sisters, Mrs. Lillie Barret and Mrs. Nellie Mowry, both of Bennett; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Daniel and a grandson.
