Funeral services for William Marion Kelley, 63, were held May 18 at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home with the Rev. Eugene Miller of First Methodist church in charge. Burial was in Sorden cemetery at Keswick with graveside services.
Mr. Kelley died May 16 at the Thurston Nursing home. He had been in failing health since 1945.
A resident of the Tipton area for 10 years, Mr. Kelley came to Tipton from Louisa county where he had been the county home steward. He was born at Keota July 7, 1890, and was married to Hazel Hungerford. She died in 1960.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Betty) Keltner, Wapello; Mrs. Paul (Helen) Rieghard, and Mrs. Ned (Shirley) Morrow, both of Tipton; 5 sons, William, Washington state; Richard, Oskaloosa; Robert, Albia; Donald, Las Vegas, Neb. and James, Florence, Ore.; a brother, Ray, North English; 3 sisters, Mrs. Lettie Biggs, Davenport; Mrs. Clara Seaton, Hills; Mrs. Hazel Kutchera, Mt. Pleasant; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother, Ervin.
