Funeral services for Walter Burrows, 72, former Cedar county resident, were held May 6 at Muscatine. Burial was at St. Zion cemetery, Cedar county.

Mr. Burrows, a resident of Muscatine for 10 years, died May 4 at his home in Muscatine. He was a retired employee of C. E. Richard and sons and had formerly lived at Tipton.

Mr. Burrows was born Aug. 8, 1891, at Tipton, the son of John and Rosey Adams Burrows.

He was married in 1917 at Tipton to Mary Baker. He was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are a brother, William Burrows, Muscatine; and a sister, Mrs. Charles Burroughs of Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 10 brothers, 2 sisters and a daughter.
