Mrs. Kerstena Sorensen, 75, a former West Branch resident, died April 29 in Hopkins, Minn., where she had lived the past 6 months. Previously she lived in Harlan.

Services were May 1 at West Branch with the Rev. William Thalacker officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mrs. Sorensen was born in Denmark June 7, 1888, the daughter of Peter and Anna Overbeck.

Surviving are her husband, Otto W.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Verle Poffenberger, Hopkins, Minn., and Mrs. Marvin Yarington, Iowa City; a son, Raymond, Portsmouth, Va.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Hertha Steffensen of West Branch and 2 sisters in Denmark, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
