Funeral services for Otis Henry Argo, 82, were held at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home April 20 with the Rev. Eugene Miller in charge. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ward, Clare and Cyril Williams, J. B. Henderson, Walter Kaufmann and Lars Larson.
Mr. Argo died April 18 at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids after a lingering illness.
The son of John William and Jan Walters Argo, he was born in Tipton Sept. 23, 1881 and was married to Grace Gay Feb. 13, 1902. She died May 10, 1941.
For many years he was an undertaker and operated a livery business with McCormick and Wills. He lived in Tipton until 1925, when he moved to Iowa City and later to Cedar Rapids where he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Carrel Williams.
In Iowa City he was employed by the McNamara Furniture company. In Cedar Rapids he was employed by the Peterson Baking company until he retired.
He was a lifelong member of the Methodist church.
He is survived by a son, Gay, who is superintendent of schools at Belle Plaine; a daughter Mrs. Darrel (Nellie) Williams, Cedar Rapids, a brother Verne, Tipton, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
