Funeral services for Richard F. Esbaum, 60, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Thursday) at Trinity Lutheran church in Lowden, with the Rev. Theo. J. Eickelberg in charge. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery.

Mr. Esbaum died at 11:30 p.m. April 6 at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids where he was taken April 5, following a stroke in his home.

The son of Carl and Caroline Manech Esbaum, he was born Feb. 7, 1904 in the Limerick community and received his education in the rural and Lowden Trinity school.

He was married to Erma Sarby of Olin March 4, 1926. They farmed first near Bennett and then in the Lowden vicinity. They moved to Lowden in the fall of 1953.

He was a life member of Trinity Lutheran church.

He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, Marvin C., Lowden and Everett, Wheatland; 8 grandchildren, 2 brothers, Albert, Lowden and Arlin, Davenport and his stepmother, Mrs. Carl Esbaum, Lowden.
