Floyd James Beatty, Davenport, died Monday in St. Luke's hospital.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in Davenport.

He was born at Tipton, attended the University of Iowa, and married Bertha Stewart, June 16, 1916, at Waterloo.

He operated the F. J. Beatty Insurance and Loan Co., Davenport.

Mr. Beatty was a former resident of Clarence and a member of the Clarence Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; a foster son, Earl Spencer, Davenport; 2 grandchildren and a brother, Albert, Graceville, Minn.
