Funeral services for Mrs. Frank V. (Esther) Loomis, 64, were held Jan. 27 at the Methodist church with the Rev. Eugene Miller in charge. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery. The Sheets and Dahn funeral home was in charge.
Mrs. Wendell Willer was vocalist and Mrs. Irma Crawford organist. Pallbearers were Ed Parsons, Chalmers Keller, Arnold Swan, Harry Spear, Carl Frederick and Walter Fankhauser. The V.F.W. auxiliary was in charge of flowers.
Mrs. Loomis died while on her way to a Minnesota hospital following a heart attack. She had been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Ruth) Mensik of Rushford, Minn., when she suffered a stroke several weeks ago. She underwent an operation at the Mayo clinic 2 weeks ago and had returned to the home of her daughter when the heart attack took place.
The daughter of Samuel and Flora Gardner Haines, she was born Dec. 2, 1899 at Tipton and spent her life in the Tipton area.
She was married to Frank Loomis in Tipton March 24, 1924. She was a member of the V.F.W. auxiliary and the Women's Relief Corps and managed the O.K. Custodial home at Tipton for many years.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Mensik; 2 sisters, 2 grandchildren, Mrs. Grace Powell, Yankton, S.D., and Mrs. Ion Collar, Muscatine, and a brother Samuel Haines of Asotoria, Ore.
