Funeral services were held Jan. 29 in Durant for Mrs. Hanna Tank, 68, a resident of Durant for 15 years. Mrs. Tank died Jan. 23 in Mercy hospital, Davenport, after a brief illness. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Born Sept. 19, 1895, in Nebraska, she was the daughter of John and Minnie Huff Griebel. Her marriage to George C. Tank took place in Davenport April 12, 1917. The couple engaged in farming in Cedar and Scott counties until retiring in 1948. Mr. Tank preceded his wife in death in 1961.

Survivors include 2 sons, Harlan of Wilton Junction and Wayne of Durant; 5 grandsons; 2 brothers, John Griebel, Davenport, and William Griebel, Durant. Two brothers and 2 sisters preceded her in death.
