Funeral services for Fred Shima, 61, former Tipton resident, were held in St. John's Catholic church at Loveland, Colo., Jan. 17.

Mr. Shima died at Memorial hospital in Loveland Jan. 14.

He was a former resident of the Solon and Tipton areas where he farmed before moving to Loveland several years ago. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rowena, June 15, 1957. In July, 1961, he married Margaret Roit of Aurora, Ill.

He was in the real estate business at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, 3 sons, David, Hopkinton; Gene, Billings, Mont., and Bernard, Loveland, his mother, Mrs. Emma Shima, Tipton; 3 brothers, his twin brother, Frank, Joe and Stanley, all of Tipton, and 4 sisters, Mrs. Roy Holubar, Solon; Mrs. Libbie Lorence, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Leo Tucker, West Branch and Mrs. Earl Howe, Tipton.
