Funeral services for Ralph E. Kent, 81, were held Jan. 17 in the Sheets and Dahn funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Adamson in charge.

Pallbearers were Carl Crispin, Wayne Miller, Albert Shaffer, Allen Rumble, George Stamos and Howard Carey. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist. Mr. and Mrs. Elry Rehbehn were in charge of flowers. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mr. Kent died Jan. 14 at the home of his son, Leland, in Guttenberg. He had been in poor health for some time and became seriously ill early in January.

The son of George and Martha Fulton Kent, he was born July 26, 1880 in Tipton. He was married to Sue Bagley April 20, 1902. She died in May, 1955.

Mr. Kent operated a restaurant in Tipton for about 40 years and was also an interior decorator. He spent his entire life in the Tipton area.

He is survived by his son, Leland. He was preceded in death by his wife, 2 brothers and a sister.
