Funeral services for Earl Hatcher, 89, retired Mechanicsville carpenter, were held Oct. 22 at Mechanicsville with the Rev. Beaty L. McDonald officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mr. Hatcher died Oct. 19 at University hospitals, Iowa City, following a long illness. He is survived by a son, Harold, Mechanicsville, and a daughter, Mrs. Helen Peterson, Vinton.
